Jenkin & Hannagan



WILL

Will Hannagan is a theatre and cabaret performer, composer,librettist and writer. He has written two musicals with collaborator Belinda Jenkin; HouseWarming which was originally presented as part of the 2011 Theatre Works Selected Works Season, and Until Tomorrow, an Apocalyptic Song Cycle, which was presented in the 2012 Fringe Festival to rave reviews.  

More recently he penned Gaga V Assange, which toured earlier this year to Midsumma and Adelaide Fringe. The show went viral after a tweet from wikileaks, with Julian Assange himself describing it as ‘tragically good.’ Chris Boyd of the Australian went further, labelling it ‘a brilliant musical fantasia’.

Will is also co-creator and co-star of a new TV pilot Melbourne Black, which launched online last December, executive produced by Ghost Pictures. He also co-founded the organisation KINCollaborative. 

A noted cabaret performer, his works include, All Grown Up, 19 Manorexic, STILL not famousNowhere FastHighs Lies and Shoestring Fries (Melbourne Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival); and Affluenza (Midsumma). Aussie theatre calls him ‘the prince of pop pastiche.’ 

BELINDA

Belinda Jenkin is a singer, actor and writer. Currently studying at NIDA, some of her previous performance credits include; Eleanor, Summer Heights High (ABC), Magnormos’ Stephen Sondheim Triptych Anyone Can Whistle, K.C Downing, My Favorite Year (APO Arts Academy)

Daisy, HouseWarming (TheatreWorks), Sarah, Until Tomorrow (KIN Collaborative) and Prick The Musical at the Athenaeum Theatre, Melbourne.

Writing credits include cabarets;
 'Practically Perfect,' and 'Kid.' In collaboration with William Hannagan the apocalyptic song cycle; 'Until Tomorrow' for the Melbourne Fringe Festival (**** Theatre Press) and the Musical ‘HouseWarming’ presented at TheatreWorks (****Melbourne’s The Age).

In 2014
 'HouseWarming' was presented at The New York Musical Theatre Festival at Theatre Row 42nd Street with the support of Arts Victoria.

Belinda is also a part of the wonderful organisation KINCollaborative Inc, supporting emerging visual and performing artists. It has been a joy to showcase new musical theatre at Home Grown.
